Earthquake memorial
6 years ago a lot of lives changed for the worse and Christchurch had to begin to rebuild. Today we remember Ivy who died in the 22 February earthquake. 
May her and all others that lost their lives Rest in Peace.

Assembly today
Really enjoyed watching the class self portraits develop over the week. They have created fantastic art that they are proud of. The children shared today in assembly and parents can come and take a closer look as they are now hanging in class. 
Technology
The children in year 7 really enjoyed their first tech class at Kirkwood yesterday. Group one started in food and group two in wood.

End of year day out
Today we were lucky to go to Clip and Climb and the Margaret Mahy Playground. It was a beautiful day and the children had lots of fun. Thank you to all the parents and family we had help out.

Food fair day
Finally after a term of planning the day arrived for the children to sell their hard work. They cooked, created and prepared some yummy treats for the school to buy with the money they had earnt during the term. What a great success!!
Duffy books
We were very lucky today to be given two books to enjoy over the holidays. We also listened to a very interesting talk about fossils.

This afternoon Father Tom came to class to share his knowledge of Pentecost and confirmation.

Addington jail visit
Today as part of our study of Parikaha we headed down the street to look at Addington Jail where TeWhiti and Tohu were held.
